Chindwara is the biggest district of Madhya Pradesh, “The Heart of Incredible India”. It is surrounded by the “Satpura Range of Mountains”. Historical data suggests that the biggest town of central India was full of Chhind trees in the ancient time. That’s why the town named Chhindwara. It is the administrative Center of the City. It shares its borders with Nagpur, Hoshangabad, Narsinghpur, Seoni and Betul. It ranks first in the Madhya Pradesh for its area of 11815 Sq. Km. Soon the city is expected to get connected to Nagpur Maharashtra with the completion of under construction broad gauge line which will enhance the connectivity of the city to other regions and also the business investment opportunities in the district. Unfortunately Chhindwara doesn’t have any airport till now although Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport located in Orange City “Nagpur” (130 km) is the nearest one to Chhindwara. However an air-strip is available at Village Imlikhera Near FDDI Chhindwara for landing charter aeroplanes/helicopters.
