The blessed Nirmala Srivastava (Nirmala Salve) (March 21, 1923 – February 23, 2011) of Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh was an Indian born, Founder of “Sahaja Yoga”. She is also recognized as the Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi. She was born on 21st March 1923 in Chhindwara, Biggest City of Central India. She was the youngest daughter of her Christian parents. His Father Mr. Prasad was a well known scholar & advocate of the city who later translated Quran in Hindi.
Early Life: In the early days right after her birth in Chhindwara whole India was struggling for the Independence. She also lived in Nagpur with her parents in the early childhood years. She often used to stay with Mahatma Gandhi in his Ashram. As a young lady she was put in Jail for participating in the Quit India Movement in 1942. After few years of this movement in 1947 she married to Chandrika Prasad Srivastava. Later after some years of the Indian independence her husband joined as Joint Secretary to the Prime Minister of India Lal Bahadur Shastri.
What is Sahaja Yoga ?
Sahaja Yoga is the technique of inner awakening through Self Realization & meditation. Nargol meditation camp by Rajneesh (Osho) was the turning point of Shri Mata Ji Nirmala Devi. She experienced that her kundalini rising very fast like a telescope opening out and it was a beautiful color that you see when the iron is heated up, a red rose color, but extremely cooling and soothing.
